The Healthy Schools program gives young Guatemalans the knowledge and tools to care for themselves, their families and their communities

In Guatemala we have partnered with the United Nations on a project which supports the UN's Millennium Schools program. We have committed to aiding the regeneration of over 40 schools in the extremely deprived area of Totonicapan.

A key aspect of this initiative is the focus on Healthy Schools. The purpose of this is to give pupils the knowledge and skills necessary to encourage them to take care of their health, their family and community; to create and maintain a positive study and work environment and promote living together in a healthy way. The scale of this partnership between the UN and a private company in Guatemala is quite unique.
