Increasing regulation and the rising number of customers upgrading their phones means we need to make it easy for customers to recycle

Tigo Colombia has taken the lead in handset recycling, an action that we believe will become increasingly important as customers upgrade their phones, and as governments in developing markets become more focused on issues surrounding the disposal of electronic waste. In collaboration with the government, Tigo has placed 26 bins in stores in major cities, where customers can deposit phones, batteries and accessories for recycling.
